Starting as a family’s dream to relocate to the Eastern Cape, The Plantation was Port Elizabeth’s first custom built all-in-one wedding venue. Since opening its doors in 2006, the passion and attention to detail from the owner-managed family business has led to The Plantation having been repeatedly awarded as one of South Africa’s top wedding and event venues.

The Plantation acquired a second venue, the Boma, in 2010. The Boma is located next door to the Plantation and is a more informal venue offering potjies and spitbraais, perfect for outdoor events such as milestone birthday parties, forest weddings and corporate events.

In 2018, The Plantation added a third venue to its collection – 39 on Church Guest House and Conference Centre. Centrally located in Walmer, 39 on Church offers superb accommodation for business and leisure travellers and The Plantation and The Boma event guests.
