Decorating a wedding cake is a form of art. Anyone can ice a cake, but only true artists can take it to the next level.
We love a stand-out wedding cake, mainly because it can work as its own feature on your big day. A cake can become art depending on the overall aesthetic and finish you choose.
Adding tons of texture and 3-dimensional detail is the easiest way to get your art on. You can also go literal with an abstract-inspired icing job, or get creative with your cake stand.
Here are a few of our favourite creations:

Some time in May, when we were cooped up at home under lockdown from this crazy pandemic, I turned to my husband and said, "Maybe we will never travel again." Maybe the virus will continue to rage unabated for years to come and leisure travel as we know it will come to an end. It's a sobering thought. But because our very last holiday was in New Zealand last December, I can say at least we ended on an absolute high. We love New Zealand. It was our second time there and we rented a campervan that took us on an 11-day loop around North Island. Because my husband is a crazy mountain-biker who drives like he rides, I insisted on doing ALL the driving for safety and sanity's sake. The campervan was 7 metres long, like a schoolbus, and manoeuvring that giant rattling tin can for 11 days is one of the proudest achievements of my life. Last week, our government announced that travel to New Zealand will be allowed from September. My husband and I were elated. "Let's go back in December!" But the next day, embarrassingly, New Zealand said it was not ready to accept visitors. It's like wanting to visit your long-distance boyfriend only to have him say he's found someone else, hahaha! So the yearning for travel continues. We'll have to save up for it, but I'm thinking Denmark or Taiwan. Where do you want to go when this craziness is over? 😊 #crummbthoughts #weddingcake #wedding #weddingideas #sgwedding #weddingsg #sgbride #bridesg #singaporewedding #cakedesign #cakeart #sugarflowers #texture #fondantcake #cakestagram #pleatedcake #pleats
